    Brookie, Board President, has been married to John for 35 years, is mom to six, and Nonnie to 12 grandchildren. Her passion (and vocation) is empowering children to become life-long learners and followers of Jesus Christ. She admires Mama Georgette’s vibrant, courageous faith and her commitment to serve the children of Burundi as an agent of Christ’s reconciling love.

  • Jeremy has had an interest and passion for global missions since he was a child.   He has been to Africa four times, leading different mission trips all over the globe.  He served as a pastor for 20 years at two different churches in Michigan and then in St. Louis.  A prominent part of his pastoral ministry has been promoting global missions in and to the local church member.  In 2021 he left vocational ministry and purchased a Goosehead Insurance franchise in the St. Louis area.  He has been married to his wife Julie for 25 years, and they have 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls, ages 23 to 7).  Jeremy first met Mama Georgette in 2011 at a Saturday Church Service day in the city of St. Louis.

    Bailey is currently the Executive Assistant at the Regional Business Council, improving the St. Louis region through business, civic, and philanthropic initiatives. She has worked with several nonprofits throughout her career providing operational and program support. Most recently, Bailey was the Colorado Operations Associate at Secure World Foundation, where she played a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission of sustainable uses of outer space. Prior to that, she served as the Administrative Assistant for the Missouri Charter Public School Association, advocating for the expansion and equity of Missouri charter schools.

  • Laura is a mom of four and grandmother of nine. Laura started her career in Activities with the senior population working with dementia residents. She is now an Administrative Assistant in a retirement community. Laura loves to go on hikes, garden, and go to outdoor concerts. Her other love is cooking for her kids and grandkids and going on family vacations.

  • Mary is a wife, mom of three adult women, and grandmother (Nonni) to 10 children. She has served for over 40 years as a speech and language pathologist with the Deaf community in St. Louis, Missouri. She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She loves to worship and delights in God‘s beauty on this earth. She enjoys art and painting with her cherished friends. She loves God, and especially seeing His miracles in the life of Mama Georgette and Africa.

  • Mary is Georgette’s middle of five children and has been living in St. Louis for most of the last twenty-five years. Mary is a genocide survivor and (with her mother and several other family members) was relocated from a refugee camp in Cameroon to the USA in 2020. She has one adult son and she works as a direct care professional for the Missouri Mental Health Department. Mary is excited to join BMP’s board as a way to support her mom and sister.
